Project Description:
The Little Boy: Quei is a 2D walking simulator made in Unity that tells the story of Quei, a young boy destined to serve as the princess's bodyguard. Born in the palace, Quei embraces his noble purpose with joy, cherishing every moment spent by the princess's side. However, this heartfelt tale takes a darker turn as strange, otherworldly elements begin to invade Quei’s reality, slowly unraveling his inner world. As you guide Quei through his journey, you’ll uncover hidden truths and face the mysteries that blur the line between reality and fantasy, leading to a story that is as emotional as it is thought-provoking.
My Contributions:
Developed and maintained core game scripts for The Little Boy: Quei, focusing on player movement, collision detection, and overall game mechanics. Designed and implemented systems for enemy AI, including movement and detection, ensuring seamless interactions and accurate player tracking. Managed player and NPC animations, dynamic lighting effects, and level-specific respawn mechanics. Integrated debugging systems to minimize game bugs and ensure smooth gameplay. Additionally, optimized 2D light filters to enhance the visual experience and maintain atmospheric consistency across levels.
